The Climate Restorers
Ocean-based solutions
The ocean's natural systems were able to draw down vast amounts of carbon through natural ecosystems.
These natural systems have now been decimated by humanity's over fishing and removal of these systems.
Is it possible to copy nature and support the natural processes to return the climate to where it should be?
Around 71% of the earth’s surface is covered with water, and it is here that humanity has done some of the worst damage to our planet's ecosystems. However, the oceans are also the place where some of the most promising possibilities lay in addressing the damage.

The ideas
Mimicking and accelerating the ways that nature removes CO2 is showing promise. We travel the world and explore the science, the people behind the science, the challenges and the opportunities of some of these projects.
